Here’s something I will never understand about genderbent cosplays, if the male version isn’t sexualized, why is the female version sexualized?
It’s like it’s saying, well yes, I want to be a female version of this character, but BE NOTHING LIKE THE CHARACTER. I’m sorry, but until we have every Vader running around in a mankini or a skin tight catsuit, at least one lady Vader can wear the robes and armor in a feminine cut as well.
Stop giving into the sexy, scantily-clad female villain trope. You can be a female and not feel like you have to show off your feminine characteristics if the male version is baggy and loose robes.
